The NERF-N-Strike Elite Hyperfire is the best nerf gun in terms of speed. It is sure to pelt your enemies into foamy submission. While HASBRO advertises that the Hyperfire will fire five darts per second, in our tests it was more like four. The Hyperfire uses a conveyor system built into the jam door to quickly push darts through its flywheels. This makes it faster than the NERF N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike, which uses a pusher system. However, the conveyor system’s teeth are kind of small, so some darts will not catch, and the Hyperfire will not fire.

There is one N-strike top rail, in front of the jam door, but there is no N-Strike barrel attachment. This gun comes with a 25 round drum.

My Thoughts
Overall, the Hyperfire is a good blaster. I would say that the Hyperfire averages at around 4 darts per second. The Hyperfire is full auto only, which is something most ten-year-olds will love. The firing feels smooth, and I had no problems with it. Top performance varies on batteries. The batteries required, D-Size, are a bit heavy and expensive. Most people don’t have them in their home supply. I recommend rechargeable batteries, because the stock will be much lighter, and the cost of batteries will be much lower. For more serious Nerfers, or for people who belong to a Nerf club, it may help to have two or more sets of batteries. Plus, anytime you see a performance drop, all you have to do is unscrew the battery tray, take out the batteries, and put them in a charger. This also makes it easier for some of the smaller kids to hold the gun. The Hyperfire would be good in wars where you need to do a lot of running, but you want to spam darts as fast as you can.
Overall, I would buy this blaster again. It does one thing and one thing only, and does it well: Fire darts as fast as it can.
